| Recommendations for Gifted Education | Education is a complex, multifaceted and painstaking process. And there is no privilege for gifted children. It would caution against any single "silver bullet" to educating a gifted child. There is doesn't matter whether it is a special school, private tutoring, home schooling, grade acceleration or anything else. There is a need to be weighed against the various requirements and preferences of the child, the parents and the school. Incase there is great difference between children there is no any specific recommendations on child's situation.
But still there are some recommendations exist. The first, there is no necessary to focus overly much on a specific artificial benchmark. These feats will not be the most important in the long term or decisive moments in the child's career. Moreover any short-term advantage may gain in working excessively towards. It is such as benchmarks that may be outweighed by the time and energy. But such goal takes away from other aspects of a child's social, emotional, academic, physical or intellectual development. One should still work hard, and participate in competitions in case someone wishes. But competitions and academic achievements should not be viewed as ends in themselves. It is rather a way to develop one's talents, experience, knowledge and enjoyment of the subject.
Secondly, it is important to enjoy one's work. This is what sustains and drives a person throughout the duration of his or her career. In case this is well-meaning parent, it can be a tragedy. The child will love for that subject by pushing too hard or too little for the development of their child's gifts in a subject. The pace of the child's education should be driven more by the eagerness of the child than the eagerness of the parent. Thirdly, it is very important to praise children for their efforts and achievements. But not for their innate talents.
Finally, a child may be initially gifted in certain field. Sometimes it is better to work in less well known field that one feels competent and comfortable in, than in a "hot". It is naturally better than competitive field that one feels unsuitable for.
